From a frustration to a platform.
It started with a simple observation. Creators across Tanzania and East Africa were doing serious work. They filmed, wrote, edited and designed for audiences that brands desperately wanted to reach. Talent was never the problem.
The problem was everything around the talent. Landing a deal meant sliding into DMs that went nowhere. Invoices got paid "after launch", and sometimes only after weeks of chasing. Rates were set by whoever shouted loudest, and the whole thing ran on word of mouth, WhatsApp threads and trust that had no backstop. One creator called it "a career built on hope and screenshots". We figured out that someone should build something better.
So we did. Krietas replaces that chaos with structure: verified profiles on both sides, so you always know who you're working with. Campaigns with clear briefs and budgets, so expectations are set before work begins. Funds held in escrow until work is approved, so nobody gets left holding the bag. And payouts in TZS through mobile money and banks, so earnings actually stay local.
It's still early, but the direction is clear. Today we're proud to work with leading brands across the region, and prouder still of every creator who got paid on time, in full, for work they loved making. That's the story we want to keep telling, one verifiable profile and one secure payment at a time.
